What Law 27 requires of employers

The Act to modernize the occupational health and safety regime now requires every employer to manage psychosocial risks like any other risk:

  • Identify and assess the psychosocial risks that are present.
  • Put worker participation mechanisms in place.
  • Document the assessments, the prevention plan, and the decisions.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate how effective the measures are.

At 20 workers or more, you must maintain a prevention program. Below that, an action plan is enough. In both cases, in writing.

The real challenge: sustaining the program over time

The CNESST can require you to demonstrate your analyses, decisions, training, and communications. A document produced once and then forgotten is not enough: the law calls for continuous assessment. That is precisely where a one-off audit fails, and where a living loop makes the difference.

How Strategenia supports your compliance

  • Structures your prevention program step by step.
  • Records every decision in a time-stamped log.
  • Prioritizes the risks to address first.
  • Keeps the picture alive from one cycle to the next, so you can demonstrate continuous assessment.

Strategenia structures and documents your prevention program. It does not replace legal advice and does not guarantee an outcome before the CNESST.
